Kids learn to code by creating their own video games. Each camper works with a school laptop and with Scratch, an MIT-developed computer programming language for young people. Participants begin by learning the basic mechanics behind classic games such as Pac-Man and Super Mario Bros. They then spend the week inventing new games of their own. MindDance teachers provide inspiration and support as kids create and share their work. Participants experience a warm and social learning community that is hands-on, challenging, and fun. The Scratch programming language is free and web-based, allowing campers to work on their projects from home, long after camp is over, and to publish their work to the Scratch website. The camp is great for beginning and experienced coders.

The ukulele has seen a surge in popularity recently due to its ease of play, portable size, and signature sound. Come learn a new instrument that has been featured recently in many popular songs. The use of Virtual Reality is changing the face of computing and user applications before our very eyes! This camp teaches one of the most advanced VR design applications in the industry, Blocksmith, which allows students to easily make VR/AR experiences, games, and more, for both desktop and mobile. Students design their own 3D environments and then immerse themselves directly into it with Google Cardboard headsets. This is a one-of-a-kind course offered exclusively by Silicon STEM.

In Snapology’s Castles, Kingdoms, and Wizards program, students will have the opportunity to use LEGO® bricks to design their medieval fantasies while also bringing the real history to life! Yes, your student will do more than just build with LEGO® bricks, they will build their historical understanding of the unique elements that make the medieval time period such a fascinating point in human history.

This camp is perfect for beginner through intermediate level swimmers! A great option for kids who need to learn how to swim or who know the basics but are looking to improve their swimming technique. Swimmers will be split into small groups based on their current skill level. At SwimLabs Littleton, we provide a fun, innovative way for kids to learn how to swim correctly, safely, and efficiently. With mirrors on the bottom of the pool, swimmers can instantly see how they are moving through the water. This instant feedback is combined with the guidance of our highly trained instructors who provide personalized swimming lessons for children of all ages. Attention all young golfers! Join us on Foothills Golf Course, and receive instruction from certified teaching pros! You’ll get an opportunity to play some holes each day. Lessons cover etiquette, safety, putting, short game (chipping, pitching), full swing and strategies for getting around a golf course efficiently. Do your kids enjoy performances like Cirque Du Soleil and The Greatest Showman? Then our Hula Hooping and Carnival Arts Camp will be perfect for them. Each day, the kids will learn cool hoop tricks, play fun hula hoop inspired games and engage in partner moves. Afterwards, the kids will work on juggling and stilt walking with cups! Children will also learn how to make silly balloon animals with their instructor. On the last day, the kids will put on a class performance and get their face painted.

Full Day Camps 9:00AM-3:30PM
Calling all four-year-old’s for summer camp! Our Sunshine program is designed for four-year-old’s. Located in a campus facility specifically designed for this age group, our youngest campers participate in activities tailored to their needs. Daily activities are designed around our weekly themes. We maximize the ‘funshine’ with daily projects, arts and crafts, splash activities and much, much more! The Sunshine Program maintains a camper-to-staff ratio of 6:1. Campers may attend a 5-day week program, registering for one week, or multiple weeks. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. $460 for 5-day week. $280 for 3-day week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday.)
The Rainbow Program is designed for children who will turn five by June 7 and will be kindergartners in the fall of 2022. Located in a campus facility specifically designed for this age group, campers participate in activities tailored to their needs. Daily activities for 2022 include: adventure, arts and crafts, drama, swimming (lessons, & free swim) every day, campfire program (songs, stories, community building), group games, tennis fun, music, and more. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. $395 per week.
Day Camp for 6-year-olds to 13-year-olds is the anchor of CA’s summer programs and is offered for eight weeks of the summer. The Day Camp program is based on good old-fashioned summertime fun! Daily activities for 2022 may include: adventure, archery, arts and crafts, swimming (lessons and free swim) every day, paddle boarding (entering grade 2+), campfire program (songs, stories, community building), group games, tennis fun, music, and more. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. $395 per week.
Come learn the basics of the sport of fencing! This week-long summer camp introduces students to all three of the Olympic weapons. Students get the Olympic experience using our fully electric scoring equipment, as well as our regulation-sized fencing strips. Each day is dedicated to studying one of the three weapons, through drills, games, and challenges. Camp culminates with an in-house tournament.

Grab your clubs and let’s hit the links! This camp provides five hours of professional instruction by Foothills Golf Course PGA teachers, on a par-3 course. All participants must wear collared shirts and tailored shorts. Participants must provide golf clubs, balls and tees. Balls are provided for the driving ranges. Players may not bring their own pull carts. Pull carts may be rented at Foothills for $3-4 per day.

During Reading Adventures, campers spend the week working on the five essential components of effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, based on the Orton Gillingham approach. Campers have large group lessons, as well as breaking into small groups to practice various skills. The reading instruction is tied together through the use of book adventures, activities, crafts, games, and fun projects.

Prepare your child for his/her upcoming year in kindergarten. We engage the students through shared reading, rhyming, alphabet, and word games, along with math activities that build number sense and pattern knowledge. The children learn the rituals and routines of kindergarten, while developing friendships and practicing their social skills. Campers will also enjoy outdoor activities and daily snacks. This course will help build your child’s confidence and prepare for the wonderful world of kindergarten!

Maybe you just want to have fun creating your own story… Short Story Films is all about the process of writing, casting, filming and editing your well-thought-out short story. It can be one you have read, or one you have written yourself! This class teaches you about every stage of the filming process from storyboards to your final cut!

Discover wildlife and nature through outdoor exploration, drawing, painting, sculpture, poetry, and other arts. Participate in wildlife watching, catch and observe critters on land and in the water, practice scientific journaling, and get inspired in this creative and artistic camp. We'll visit places like the Museum of Outdoor Arts, Botanic Gardens, and Audubon Center at Chatfield to explore arts, using nature as the inspiration and medium. Required equipment: daypack, snacks (lunch provided), walking shoes, filled water bottles, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat, and sunglasses.

Claytime - Intro to Ceramics is the perfect summer camp class for anyone with a creative bug who wants to learn how to hand build pottery but also learn how to throw on the wheel! Escape rooms are growing in popularity across the country. We’ll visit some of Denver’s best escape rooms during this exciting week. We’ll use teamwork and clues embedded in the room to solve various puzzles and riddles to escape a series of rooms before our time runs out. Using inspiration from some of the great escapes in popular films, campers will create their very own escape rooms and cause-and-effect contraptions for others to try, if they dare. This camp is suitable for individuals who have completed one or two escape rooms. If you have completed more than two escape rooms, we recommend signing up for the Professional Escape camp!

Have you ever wondered how the animators at Disney or Pixar do their job? During this class you will learn the art of animation by using your tablet. You will learn to make amazing animations that tell incredible stories using the same techniques that the pros use. This class covers both digital and stop motion animation. In this jam-packed camp, each artist creates his/her own mural on muslin. We learn the process and steps to making a big painting, using techniques of scenic painting, faux finishing, and trompe l’oeil. Our murals can be applied to a wall at home, framed, or hung like a tapestry.

This camp is a great way for students to enjoy learning about martial arts while getting some fun exercise. Martial Arts campers will enjoy a padded sword competition, learn techniques such as kicks and punches, learn the history of martial arts, and play fun games. Plus, campers will learn the basics of self-defense, break real boards, and watch excerpts from famous movies such as Kung Fu Panda, all in a safe, controlled environment.

We know that social skills are a strong determinant of success and it's never too soon to start developing young leaders through these skills. Leadership Camp helps your child become more confident by helping them be more comfortable in social situations. Plus, instructors will explore table manners, party manners, gifts, thank you notes, minding your technology manners, making and keeping friends, and even a few ballroom dance steps. Skiing and riding in the summer? No problem! Shredder’s professionally developed ski and board curriculum focuses on the technical aspects of skiing and riding. Campers will travel to Shredder’s indoor facility, located in Littleton, to strengthen their skills and sharpen their knowledge. Day Camp for 6-year-olds to 13-year-olds is the anchor of CA’s summer programs and is offered for eight weeks of the summer. The Day Camp program is based on good old-fashioned summertime fun! Daily activities for 2022 may include: adventure, archery, arts and crafts, swimming (lessons and free swim) every day, paddle boarding (entering grade 2+), campfire program (songs, stories, community building), group games, tennis fun, music, and more. Grab your clubs and let’s hit the links! This camp provides five hours of professional instruction by Foothills Golf Course PGA teachers, three days on a par-3 course, and two days on a nine-hole course. All participants must wear collared shirts and tailored shorts. Participants must provide golf clubs, balls and tees. Balls are provided for the driving ranges. Are you curious how lions fare in Denver’s snowy winters, or how the zookeepers ensure the hooded Capuchins don’t escape from Monkey Island? Each student designs and builds their own zoo and becomes an expert on their chosen animal. The first session focuses on habitats, and the following week, we learn more about specific animals. Do you love the idea of helping others? Do you like the idea of giving back to your community? We are looking for participants that are willing to think beyond their own needs and look to the needs of others. During this week, campers participate in various services in and around Denver. This camp is open to beginner and intermediate players. Students learn chess strategy and tactics, as well as etiquette. The Microbit, created by the Educational Foundation, is a small piece of hardware that campers can use as a controller, light and sound sensor, and much more. Escape rooms are growing in popularity across the country. We’ll visit some of Denver’s best escape rooms during this exciting week. We’ll use teamwork and clues embedded in the room to solve various puzzles and riddles to escape a series of rooms before our time runs out. Using inspiration from some of the great escapes in popular films, campers will create their very own escape rooms and cause-and-effect contraptions for others to try, if they dare. During the week we will be working on many different Taekwondo drills and activities, as well as learning about respect for self and others, teamwork, self-defense, and fitness! First half of the week is Animal Explorers and the second half is Discovering Dinosaurs! Animal Explorers: The animals living in our backyards or in our towns are very different from the animals in other parts of the world. Calling all four-year-old’s for summer camp! Our Sunshine program is designed for four-year-old’s. Located in a campus facility specifically designed for this age group, our youngest campers participate in activities tailored to their needs. Daily activities are designed around our weekly themes. We maximize the ‘funshine’ with daily projects, arts and crafts, splash activities and much, much more! The Sunshine Program maintains a camper-to-staff ratio of 6:1. The Rainbow Program is designed for children who will turn five by June 7 and will be kindergartners in the fall of 2022. Day Camp for 6-year-olds to 13-year-olds is the anchor of CA’s summer programs and is offered for eight weeks of the summer. The Day Camp program is based on good old-fashioned summertime fun! Denver Chamber Music Camp is open to strings playing students of all ages who are at the following playing levels:

We learn about colloids, polymers, solvents, solutions, and chemical reactions, by making ice cream, slime, crystals, lava, and the ultimate bubble recipe. This camp is open to beginner and intermediate players. Students learn chess strategy and tactics, as well as etiquette. Get messy investigating the science of our world. We learn about colloids, polymers, solvents, solutions, and chemical reactions, by making ice cream, slime, crystals, lava, and the ultimate bubble recipe. Math: Developing computation skills and understanding basic math processes are the major components of the math program. At the first class meeting, students are tested and a personalized plan is developed for each student. Daily activities for 2022 may include: adventure, archery, arts and crafts, swimming (lessons and free swim) every day, paddle boarding (entering grade 2+), campfire program (songs, stories, community building), group games, tennis fun, music, and more. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. $395 per week.
During Reading Adventures, campers spend the week working on the five essential components of effective reading instruction: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension, based on the Orton Gillingham approach. Campers have large group lessons, as well as breaking into small groups to practice various skills. The reading instruction is tied together through the use of book adventures, activities, crafts, games, and fun projects.

Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? Test your nature survival skills as you learn to build shelters, climb trees with experts from Tree Climbing Colorado, start a fire without matches, cook using the sun, and find your way using GPS units. Practice skills you need to have safe adventures away from home while you hike trails, navigate rivers, and explore wildlife in and around Chatfield’s South Platte River. See live raptors up close with Wild Wings to find out how these amazing birds survive in the wild. Required equipment: daypack, walking shoes, change of clothes that includes long pants and water shoes with a heel or heel strap (no flip-flops), filled water bottles, sunscreen, insect spray, a hat, sunglasses, and the will to survive!

Come lads and ladies to Medieval Camp! Over the course of the week, the Knights of DFC guide you on your quest to learn the art of the sword. Knights-in-training learn to battle both in the medieval style and the modern Olympic style. Knights make their own foam swords and design their personal crests, which they paint on their shields. On our last day, our knights battle for the castle built upon the great Ruby Hill!

Calling all inventors, creators, builders, and designers! Come build some awesome creations with us! You create your own designs and make structures using recyclable materials, building blocks, and many other interesting items. Skills necessary… none! Skills gained: communication, problem solving, reasoning, developing creativity, and teamwork.

Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) with the ACA certified instructors from SurfSUP Colorado. This course has been developed by the American Canoe Association. Students will learn the basic paddling skills necessary to safely participate in this water sport, including paddle strokes, turning, bracing, and a thorough introduction to the safety issues involved, including self and group rescue. Free time is built into the schedule for self-directed SUP activities. All SUP equipment is provided. Swimming ability is required.

"Calling all animal lovers! Spend a week visiting animals in different habitats, including the Denver Zoo, Wild Animal Sanctuary, Audubon Nature Center, Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center, Butterfly Pavilion, and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Afternoons may also include film screenings of fun and classic animal movies (think Homeward Bound and Free Willy)."

Square State Skate provides skateboard instruction and guidance for children of all ages and skill abilities allowing your youngsters’ skills, passion and personality to grow in a safe, fun environment. Our skilled instructors work in small group settings to help teach everything from basic fundamentals to more advanced skills, we also can provide all the equipment needed for any program. We focus on participants' growth both on and off a skateboard by fostering self-confidence, persistence, and determination and building community through skateboarding.

Our Summer Horse Camp program offers in-depth education for kids and teens. Campers join us for horseback riding lessons each day, unmounted education in safety and animal husbandry, horse and pony care, equine anatomy, equestrian sports, horsemanship and horse related art projects. Campers are divided by age and ability (beginner, intermediate, advanced riders).

Colorado Academy Summer Programs encourage Self Discovery, so that campers can identify passions, nurture talents, and increase skills. In our Traditional Camp, campers sample athletic, creative, and waterfront activities that are engaging and fun. And our Specialty Camps allow individuals to customize their own schedules with intriguing and challenging options.
CA’s 94-acre campus in southwest Denver is the perfect stage for kids from as far as Castle Rock, Evergreen and Parker to come together to learn, laugh, and increase self-confidence. With experienced educators and caring counselors, campers receive the individual attention they need to succeed.
Optional daily transportation is available, and off-site field trips punctuate the curriculum.
Our Purpose: Building Self Confidence is our focus. We want every camper to leave our Summer Programs more aware of who they are and what they can become. We encourage individuals to step out of their comfort zones, challenge themselves, take healthy risks, revel in the experiences, and then acknowledge their accomplishments.
